Parker (1984)
(aka Bones)
DIRECTOR: Jim Goddard (Reilly: Ace of Spies)
STARS: Bryan Brown (The Empty Beach, F/X), Cherie Lunghi (Excalibur), Kurt Raab (Tenderness of Wolves), Elizabeth Spriggs, Bob Peck (Jurassic Park), Ingrid Pitt (The Vampire Lovers), Tom Wilkinson (Michael Clayton)
SYNOPSIS: In the opening sequence, businessman Bryan Brown stumbles out of a wintery forest in Germany seeking help from some hunters. Eleven days prior he was kidnapped and held for ransom. A local detective (Raab) questions Brown about his ordeal but still has some doubts. The film jumps back a few weeks and shows Brown in town at a business convention, followed by his abduction and imprisonment. The detective doesn't seem to be making any progress so Brown begins his own investigation which includes a local hussy (Pitt, still showing off her cleavage at 47 years old) and two ice cold killers (including Bob Peck). This is a low key thriller with a handful of action scenes. Bryan Brown is good as always and fans might want to check out this forgotten rarity.
