The Incident (1967)
DIRECTOR: Larry Peerce (Sporting Club, A Separate Peace)
STARS: Tony Musante (Bird with the Crystal Plumage, Nowhere to Hide), Martin Sheen (The Guardian), Beau Bridges (Hammersmith is Out), Jack Gilford, Ed McMahon, Brock Peters, Ruby Dee
SYNOPSIS: Here's a simple film idea that works like gangbusters. Two psychotic thugs hop on a, 60's era, NYC subway car and terrorize the passengers. The two lowlifes are Tony Musante (who gives a great sleazy performance) and a young Martin Sheen (in his big screen debut). It's a train ride of humiliation, violence and fear. A talented cast helps sell the scenario as Musante and Sheen make their way through the passengers one by one - targeting each with their twisted idea of entertainment. It probably scared the hell out of filmgoers back in the 1967!
