The Barcelona Kill (1973)
DIRECTOR: José Antonio de la Loma (Killing Machine, Perros Callejeros)
STARS: Linda Hayden (Blood on Satan's Claw), John Justin (Thief of Bagdad), Simón Andreu (Blood Splattered Bride, Die Another Day), Eduardo Fajardo (Knife of Ice, Mission Phantom, Nightmare City)
SYNOPSIS: Two reporters, including shutterbug Linda Hayden, investigate the stabbing death of a young woman. As they dig deeper they find a ring of drug smugglers who also run an underage brothel. The local police chief is at first annoyed by the two but soon comes to realize their efforts are helpful. The finale has the reporters, police and criminals running around a shanty town trying to kill each other. This film has a fairly dense and convoluted plot with lots of characters that perks up with the occasional chase scene, murder, shoot-out or naked body (Hayden only manages to strip down to her underwear). A gay police informant is named "Flipper". Italian film vet Stelvio Cipriani (Bay of Blood, Blindman, Rabid Dogs) provides the score.
