Overlords of the UFO (1976)
DIRECTOR: G. Brook Stanford
STARS: Various interview subjects including Stanton Friedman and Uri Geller
SYNOPSIS: Outrageous, over-the-top, expose of aliens and UFO's. This is a perfect example of 1970's phenomena documentary. A decade that sparked interest in everything from Bigfoot to Chariot of the Gods to finding Noah's Ark. The entertaining TV series "In Search of…" covered all that and more. Overlords of the U.F.O. is jam-packed with grainy photographs, 16mm films clips and tons of wacky testimonials. It's all presented as serious as a heart attack which makes it even more fun. Their groundbreaking idea is that aliens are not from outer space but from another dimension. I imagine that Craig Baldwin got some inspiration from this documentary for his amazing film Tribulation 99. If you couldn't make to the recent gathering at Area 51 you might want to check this out!
