Inhibition (1976)
DIRECTOR: Paolo Poeti
STARS: Claudine Beccarie (Mannequin, Hitler's Last Train), Ivan Rassimov (The Strange Vice of Mrs. Wardh, Spasmo), Ilona Staller (aka Cicciolina) (Yellow Emanuelle), Patricia Gori (Emanuelle and Francoise, Nathalie: Escape from Hell)
SYNOPSIS: Genre fave Ivan Rassimov crosses paths with rich widow "Carol" (Beccaria) and her sexy blonde secretary "Anna" (25 year-old Staller) on a plane to Africa. She's more interested in her power and wealth than any men she might encounter. Carol would rather force herself upon young Anna for some lesbian hijinx. Or, simply humiliate the girl by dunking her head in a bathtub and calling her a slut after she has sex with a local boy. Ivan is a professional card player and he meets up with some shady pals to fleece the local bigshots. At the same time Carol tends to her dead husband's palatial estate and horse stables. Every so often the two main characters cross paths leading to the inevitable climax where they finally screw. Lots of full frontal nudity and sleaze but with a bit more dramatic material than the usual "Private Screenings" fare. Lots of local color is shown with beaches, street vendors and nightclubs similar to the Black Emanuelle films. There's a memorable score by Guido and Maurizio De Angelis (Keoma , Last Shark, etc.) that would work just as well in a "Giallo" film from the 1970's.
