DIRECTOR: Jim McBride (Glen and Randa, The Big Easy)

STARS: Rosanna Arquette (Desperately Seeking Susan), Kevin Anderson (Orphans), John Lithgow (Advs of Buckaroo Banzai)

SYNOPSIS: Here's a really entertaining made-for-cable Neo Noir. Kevin Anderson stars as an American on vacation in Mexico. After getting his wallet stolen and being mistaken for murder he hits the road with fellow outcasts Arquette and Lithgow as they travel through dusty South of the Border towns by car, bus and train. Arquette plays an oversexed floozy and Lithgow is a boorish jerk. Before long Arquette is enticing Anderson into bed and trying Lithgow's patience. Meanwhile the trio find themselves pursued by Mexican detectives hot on their trail. Fast moving with great acting, sleaze, violence and sex. Anderson is solid as the hero, Arquette (who has numerous nude scenes) does a show-stopping striptease in a seedy hotel room and Lithgow is memorable as a racist, mean, motormouthed cuckold. Better than you think - Recommended.
