SYNOPSIS: First rate thriller from the pen of Alistair MacLean. Barry Newman stars as a drifter / troublemaker who has more than a few tricks up his sleeve. He even gets to lead police on an extended high speed chase ( ala Vanishing Point) though dirt roads and swamplands. Plenty of surprises that I won't give away here. With solid acting support from Suzy Kendall, John Vernon and a young Ben Kingsley. This is completely compelling entertainment. The ad campaign doesn't really hint at (or help ) reveal how good this film is! With an original score by Roy Budd. A fantastic looking WIDESCREEN print!
