$20.00

DIRECTOR: Bermuda Triangle: Richard Friedenberg (The Life and Times of Grizzly Adams) / Devil's Triangle: Richard Winer (Santa and the Ice Cream Bunny)

STARS: Bermuda Triangle: Brad Crandall (narrator) / Devil's Triangle: Vincent Price (narrator)

SYNOPSIS: Two 1970's documentaries about "The Bermuda Triangle".

The Bermuda Triangle: Another nostalgic 70's paranormal documentary from "Sunn Classic Pictures". This one starts off with a pre-credit sequence showing Christopher Columbus and his crew in 1492 sailing through the Bermuda Triangle and witnessing a fleet of flying saucers zipping across the sky! Serious-as-a-heart-attack Brad Crandall is your onscreen narrator as he presents facts, real-life accounts, maps and charts to prove his case. This one has a lot of reenacted events, everything from old timey sailors to military men to random fishermen over the span of hundreds of years. Halfway into the film they circle back to the UFO angle and there's a bunch of stories featuring flying saucers effects. Overall it's well produced and competently made. Based on the book by Charles Berlitz. Running time: 1hr 33mins

The Devil's Triangle: This documentary featurette has the benefit of narration by Vincent Price who clearly relishes every time he gets to say: "The Devil's Triangle!". A similar structure as the above film with various paranormal accounts re-told and illustrated. There's re-enactments, stock footage, drawings and some miniature effects. One big difference is that this film actually interviews a number of eyewitnesses including a military pilot whose story is also told in The Bermuda Triangle. From the director of Santa Claus and the Ice Cream Bunny. Running time: 52mins
