Ground Zero (1973)

$20.00

DIRECTOR: James T. Flocker (Ghosts That Still Walk)

STARS: Ron Casteel, Melvin Belli, Augie Tribach,

SYNOPSIS: A government agent tries to stop a terrorist targeting San Francisco. A sociopath comes up with a plan to detonate a nuclear weapon atop the famous Golden Gate Bridge in San Francisco unless his two friends are released from prison. A quirky agent, who works for the president, is on the case. He walks with a cane and favors large sideburns with turtleneck sweaters. His acting style reminds me of Don Dohler-regular Don Leifert in The Alien Factor! Despite the low budget and cheesiness you have to respect the fact they were able to film the fight scene climax at the top of the real Golden Gate Bridge! A fun, sometimes so-bad-it's-good, rarity.
