SYNOPSIS: Obscure sexploitation film from France. “Georges” is a respected antique dealer in a small French town who employs a handyman to kidnap girls for him. The sexy ladies are snatched up in the remote countryside while riding a bike alone or on a date with their boyfriend. The victims are brought to a secret dungeon, stripped naked and trussed up in the “Room of Chains”. Georges and his young (male) assistant get dressed in some kind of ceremonial outfits , lay down on their stomachs and watch through a peephole. They get off seeing the nude girls writhe in pain as they fear for their lives. Afterwards, the creepy handyman brings the unconscious gals back to where they were kidnapped and leaves them on the ground. Meanwhile a detective is closing in as Georges’ fetish gets out of control and he starts making mistakes. Made in 1970 it feels more like a ‘roughie’ from the 1960’s with plenty of nudity but only a few scenes of people screwing. In a fantasy sequence a naked woman tied to an altar has a large boa constrictor laid on her chest. The relationship between Georges, who is married, and his assistant is blatantly homoerotic although the film never makes it clear. At one point the two men even sleep in a bed together. There’s a twist ending that most viewers will see coming a mile away.
