Deadly Vengeance (1981)

$20.00

(aka Dirty Trick)

DIRECTOR: Joel O'Brien

STARS: Betty Harrison, Arthur Roberts, Alan Marlowe, Grace Jones (A View to a Kill)

SYNOPSIS: A young girl falls for a shady man with gambling debts. After a mob boss has him killed she sets out for revenge. She uses her body to get in good with the mob boss and his goons. Then one by one she kills them off. A straight razor is used to slash one man's throat and another has his balls cut off. There's some surprising violence and a ton of nudity. It reminded me of the "roughies" that came out of NYC in the late 60's. Films like Confessions of a Psycho Cat or the Findley's Curse of Her Flesh. The late 70's / early 80's fashions, hairstyles and make-up are all hideous, it could be a casting call for John Waters' Female Trouble. There's lots of location shooting in early `80's New York City. In various video releases Grace Jones is featured on the cover with her name. Don't be fooled as she only appears in a few scenes. One prolonged scene has Jones getting fully naked and screwing her boyfriend. This scene borders on hardcore! It's much better than you might imagine.
