Prime Time (1977)

$20.00

DIRECTOR: Bradley Swirnoff (Tunnel Vision)

STARS: Joanna Cassidy (Blade Runner, Night Games), Fred Dryer, Stephen Furst, Warren Oates (Kid Blue, Wild Bunch), Larry Gelman, Harry Shearer, Harris Yulin (Steel, Watched), Royce Applegate

SYNOPSIS: Another wild 70's skit comedy in the vein of Tunnel Vision, The Groove Tube and Kentucky Fried Movie. The wraparound footage shows the U.S. president and his advisors dealing with the crisis of all the television networks being hijacked by an unknown source. TV sets nationwide are showing irreverent, disgusting and shocking footage. Highlights include horrible travel ads for Puerto Rico & India, Fred Dryer telling viewers they're gay, The "9th Annual Sexual Deviation Telethon", "Manny's Nymphs" (a parody of Charlie's Angels featuring an all overweight cast!), Kinky Friedman snorting coke & singing a song about picking your nose and my personal favorite: Warren Oates and Robert Ridgely hunting humans during the "The Charles Whitman Invitational" and much, much more! This one features less nudity than some of it's rivals but makes up for it in production values and a high ratio of familiar 70's actors.
