SYNOPSIS: Simple, but memorable, tale of Jason Robards as a deep thinking postman who decides he would like to turn into a tree. After he makes this decision he goes into his backyard, digs a hole, "plants" himself and waits! His wife, Sandy Dennis, eventually gives up and declares him crazy. But kooky friend Jean Simmons supports him. Nice performances all around and Robards is the perfect choice to play this type of character. A recommended sleeper!
